About Hollis Preschool
A non-profit, non-sectarian
organization founded in 1952
Hollis Preschool was started by a group of Hollis residents so that their children could get together and learn to play, share, sing, paint, and tell stories. Since its conception, hundreds of children have attended our school, and even some of their children too. The heart of our philosophy is based in that premise and although we have changed, grown, and moved over the years, our commitment to a solid early childhood education remains strong.
Hollis Preschool is lucky to have a staff full of lead teachers and assistant teachers that are passionate about helping children grow and succeed. All of our lead teachers have a background in Early Education and have years of continuing education in a variety of specialties. From Special Education to Speech Therapy, Counseling and Elementary Education, we take pride in the backgrounds of them all! Our assistants range from community parents to substitute teachers who were all looking to stay active with children in early education. Each year all our staff completes State required training and workshops that keep them current on Early Education standards.
Our director, Bridget Roy, has been part of the Hollis Preschool community for over 10 years. She has enjoyed working in many different positions, from assistant teacher to lead teacher, board member to acting director before taking on the position as sole director in 2018. Her commitment to nurturing the growth and development of the children is unparalleled.
"The greatest thing about Hollis Preschool is the quality of its teachers! Not only are they knowledgeable about child development, more importantly each one seems to genuinely love each child."- parent of a 3yo student
"This is the best environment for a child and his/her parents! After having older children in various preschools out of state, I feel fortunate to have found Hollis Preschool. There is safety, structure, great communication and laughter. I could not ask for more."- parent of a 2yo student
"I feel so fortunate to have found Hollis Preschool. Not only have both my children grown and developed above and beyond my expectations, but our family has found such a community within the preschool. I am so thankful for the experience my children received during their time at HPS, as well as being welcomed into the Preschool family."- parent of an ALumni student
"The Hollis Preschool has been an enriching first school experience. I am at ease dropping off my child because I know she is in a safe, caring and stimulating environment."- parent of a 2yo student
